About Drew

Drew Salazar is a writer/director, cinematographer, assistant camera, and freelance photographer. Drew fell in love with film at an early age and has since dedicated his life to growing as a storyteller. Based in Austin, Drew is a seasoned filmmaker and photographer with a knack for storytelling. From his roots in Houston, he's honed his craft, specializing in film, music videos, professional headshots, and concert photography.

With a focus on authentic storytelling and collaboration, Drew brings a blend of technical expertise and creative flair to every project. Whether it's crafting compelling narratives or capturing captivating moments behind the lens, his goal is to evoke emotion and leave a lasting impression. During his time at the University of Texas at Austin, he has worked on and created multiple well-received short films and music videos with local Austin filmmakers and has had several of his projects shown in UT’s various film festivals.

In the realm of photography, Drew specializes in concert photography and professional headshots, using his talents to capture moments with grace and precision. Some of the many artists Drew has done press for include AJR, Jamila Woods, Black Midi, Clams Casino, and Boy Pablo. Drew is also known for lending his skills to professional headshot photography, whether it’s for students, corporate professionals, or artists. Drew approaches each client session with care, ensuring every image reflects the authentic identity of the client and fostering a comfortable atmosphere
